I am currently in college and I would say that about 25 to 50 percent of students in some of my lecture classes have their laptops out in class. I often sit in the back of these classes, and I do see a lot of notes being taken on all these screens, and sometimes I feel I could get a lot more down if I was typing instead of writing. I also see Facebook, Gmail, and all kinds of other things from online shopping to family photos, and I feel that my binder, paper and pencils are the focused and easy way to keep me learning. What are your thoughts?
Perhaps... Check out One Note.. It's part of Microsoft Office 2007 student edition I believe. It's kind of cool, and could be very helpful. Just hide your taskbar when you're working to prevent from distractions.
