Also, don't complain about lag... the server's hardware is not exactly bad ass. I'm working on that though!
I can attest to what a cool server this is to play on. Friendly admins, casual atmosphere, and useful server-side mods like warp and trade systems make it a great introduction to the game. There is a shopping district, battle arena, and rail network already in place and plenty of room to build. The lag really isn't that bad unless there are a lot of people on.
I'm thinking about randomly generating a date in the future and making it armageddon. Just giving everyone a shit ton of TNT letting them blow everything up and then generating a new world. Then I'll make another random date in the future and continue the cycle. Leaving room for new worlds and such.
Also, I'd make the old worlds available for download pre and post apocalyptic so people can save them for their own use if they really liked a previous world. And the date for Armageddon wouldn't be a secret I'd just put a countdown timer on the site lol.
Agreed. I will be waiting til at least 1.2 before the first of these Dooms Days. And ya we should allow water to be used. However... no lava placement. We'll leave that up to Admins. And TNT will stay banned. But on Armegeddon I'll just unban TNT and give everyone a shit ton lol. Probably gonna crash the server, but fuck it!
Fuckyeah. End of 1.1, destroy and rebuild for 1.2 sounds perfect. Maybe it should be a regular thing, every new version we end the world and start over?
Ya that's probably how we should do it. I'll just have a day where I save the world, then allow everyone to destroy it, then save it again, post those online, and finally generate a new world for the new version.
