Alaska and Ketchikan

Clearly, posting has died off in the last few weeks. Although many of you are probably looking forward to AKV going public and there being a lot more people on here, (I am too), I don't think that we should stop using the site entirely until then.

In that spirit, I have decided to make an article about what kind of articles everyone likes. Hopefully this post will generate a bit of activity, but then afterward, maybe you'll be inspired to write more when you see what types of writing everyone prefers.

Politics all the way. And the reason I haven't been posting lately is I've just been to busy with School. Expect my posting levels to go up once I've finished my final Paper comparing the Iranian and US Nuclear Discourses and arguing that those differences are at the root of why the relationship is so dysfunctional.
The true question in categories is... When are we going to completely revise them? :P I'm not doing it alone...

I'm down. I feel have knacks for organizing.
Be my guest, if you make up a draft I'll revise it, or we can work on it together or something. It definitely needs an update, or replaced with a more useful system...
Have you thought about tagging? At times I like it, other times I don't, but it's a possibility.
KU 3 originally had tagging, which I think was removed quickly after, or even before it was taken out of beta. Personally, I'm not a fan of tags or tag clouds, they just confuse things and make things harder to find. I figure blunt categories like we currently have will give people a nice quick filter on things they want to read. As you can see in this version, subcategories are completely absent due to wanting simplification.
I'd love to see more site activity, as it's one of the tabs I always keep open.
Somewhere in between rant and other. Philosophical discussions are fun.
My guess is that most users wouldn't mind if the site was dead. The result is that the site is dead.

How can a site in beta be dead?
Humor's usually a good start unless it's bashing on other profiles.
Honestly I don't care what get's started but at the moment there's really nothing that isn't too personal or out of context for people on here to understand that I could write about (I say this as if I went ranting and raving about WoW 2 or 3 ex-casual wow people might know what I'm talking about but for most it would be whoooshh).
